Automate the process. Independently verify the outcome.

Khaonix checks the result of a process against the document that authorised it. Because that check is independent and complete, you can automate far more of payroll, including with AI agents, without a human on every case.

Khaonix salary letter against payslip, October run

You need to verify payroll outcomes today.

Every payslip checked against the document that authorised it, complete rather than sampled, with evidence on each confirmation. Nothing changes in your process.

How it works →

You want to automate, and need the outcome to be right.

The same check is what lets you take the person out of the loop. Khaonix verifies what the automated process produced, whoever or whatever ran it.

Why it unlocks automation →

We enable AI automation by independently verifying what it produces.

Automation only delivers its cost savings when the second pair of eyes can go. If every automated outcome still needs a person to check it, you have moved the work, not removed it. Take the check away, and the risk moves with it.

Khaonix replaces that routine check. It does not take part in the process. It reads what was authorised, reads what came out, and confirms the two agree. People only see the cases where they do not. It verifies that each authorised instruction was carried out; the payroll calculation itself stays with the payroll system.

That origin-against-result check is what unlocks a much higher degree of automation. The control no longer depends on how the process runs, so the process no longer needs a person inside it.

Today Process→ A person checks every case
With Khaonix Automated process→ Khaonix verifies every outcome→ People handle the exceptions

The person in the loop stops confirming what is right and starts looking at what is wrong.

In almost every landscape, HR and payroll are separate systems, often at separate providers, with interfaces and spreadsheets in between. No single system can check across that split. Khaonix does not need to.

How it works

Khaonix is a verification layer that works from documents, not from system data. It compares the document that triggered the process with the end result the process produced. It needs no interface, no database access and no configuration in your systems, and how many systems, providers or interfaces lie between trigger and result does not matter. It runs as a service hosted in the EU or on your own servers, depending on your security and compliance requirements.

1

Read the trigger

The salary letter, bonus letter or termination letter states what should happen: amount, effective date, how it is paid.

2

Read the end result

The payslip states what the process did. Khaonix reads both documents as documents, whatever system printed them.

3

Apply the control

A control is a short list of rules linking the two. Which rule held is recorded as evidence.

payslip.salary = letter.salary ÷ 13 | ÷ 12
4

Confirm or escalate

Every confirmation shows the exact position on both documents. Every difference goes to a person, with the same evidence. In a workflow, Khaonix is called through the API as the control step; the browser interface is for bulk checks such as a monthly run or a baseline.

Isn't this what interface monitoring and reconciliation do?

They confirm that data arrived where it was sent. They do not know what should have been sent. A salary keyed in wrongly, a letter never entered, a provider that did not apply the change: all of these reconcile cleanly, because every system agrees with the one before it. Khaonix compares the outcome with the document that authorised it, so the first and the last step are covered, not only the links between systems.

The review page for one payroll run: the queue of exceptions, each with both documents and the field that differs.

Payroll first

Payroll is where automation meets the highest stakes and the clearest paperwork. Every change to pay requires a document that authorises it.

Salary letter against payslip

Salary changes and bonuses

Every increase and every bonus, verified in the month it takes effect. Not only in the annual salary round.

Termination letter against final payslip

Joiners and leavers

Final payments, vacation payouts, pro rata amounts and severance checked against the letter that set them. These are one-off items with no previous month to compare against; the letter is the only reference.

Payslip against payslip

Migrations and parallel runs

Before and after a system change, provider switch or upgrade: every field on every payslip, same or different. The acceptance test for a go-live, and the same control stays on as the monthly check afterwards.

These three pairs are the starting scope. Your own letter templates, other document types and other payslip layouts are added the same way: a defined control, qualified against a test population before use. The method does not change, only the documents.

Why a confirmation from Khaonix holds

A control that can be wrong quietly is worse than no control. Khaonix is built so that a false confirmation is the one outcome that is not accepted.

Who it is for

Heads of payroll and HR operations

You own the outcome across HRIS, interfaces and payroll, whether in-house or at a provider. Khaonix gives you one control that does not care where the error came from.

Payroll outsourcers and fiduciaries

Verify each run against the instruction your client sent, and check every payslip when a client moves onto your platform. Complete, not sampled, with evidence you can hand to the client.

HR-IT and automation teams

You want to let AI agents and workflows run without a human on every case. Khaonix is the control that makes that defensible.

Consultancies designing HR and payroll processes

You are automating the process for your client. Khaonix is the control step you design in, so the routine human check is no longer needed and the control stays.

Payroll is where we prove it. The same control layer applies to any process whose outcome can be checked against the document that authorised it.

Whatever runs the process, a person, a system, a provider or an AI agent, Khaonix verifies what came out.

Start with a baseline.

One payroll month, or a handful of letter-and-payslip pairs, anonymised if you prefer. Khaonix verifies every pair and shows you where your process was right and where it was not, with the evidence. No system access, no change to your process, and on your own servers if your data cannot leave. Then decide what to automate.
